Large breakfasts for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) increase fertility

Pre-pregnancy obesity can lead to delay in lactationResearchers from Hebrew University published a study in Clinical Science which showed that eating a large breakfast can improve fertility rates in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). They studied 60 women over a 12-week period. Women who consumed half of their daily calories during breakfast had lower glucose and testosterone levels than women who ate a smaller breakfast and a larger dinner. They also saw a significantly increased ovulation rate in the large breakfast group.
